Audiobook. I also read the paperback.
3-1/2 stars. I made the mistake of listening to the Morganville Vampires audiobook right before and they both use the same narrator, [author:Cynthia Holloway|1222197]. Her voice is slightly (emphasis on slightly) different in this book than it is in the Morganville Vampires books, but it's way too close. I'm going to have to remember that when I listen to the next books in the both series.
I liked this book but didn't love it. I think I liked reading it a little bit more. Merit irritated me because Ethan saves her life and all she can say is you should have asked me. Merit, your throat was tore out, how could you respond? By blinking your answer as you were dying? And then she says how kick ass she is now because of her mad fighting skills - um Merit, you missed remember. You're getting there but aren't there quite yet. These things I don't remember finding irritating when I read the book.
