Tekgrrl - A.J. Menden Boring beginning with lots of angst about a guy that went on far too long even though Mindy denied she still cared a lot. The first half read as if she were in high school, not 30. She does make real attempts to "grow up" and that's when the book started getting better. The second half was an unexpected romance (for her) with her supervisor Paul. I liked that she's 30 (instead of the usual 18 to 23) and that Paul's 40 something. The alien bit was boring and not very suspenseful at all. Even Mindy's "son" being thrown in didn't make it more exciting. I'm giving this book 3 stars just for the romance between Mindy and Paul, which I thought was great.
