The Winter Sea - Susanna Kearsley I turned in the library book and have now purchased the audiobook. I'll start the whole book over and listen to it this time.

Carrie McClelland writes historical fiction and is inspired to write about the 1708 Jacobite rebellion while visiting scenes both in France and Scotland. While in Scotland, she feels drawn to a castle she stops at looking when for directions. She ends up renting a cottage there and finds out she's inherited more than eye and hair color from her previous ancestors, she's also inherited memories. As she writes her book, she relives a distant relative's struggles with love and life.

Really good book. I started with the physical library book but ended up listening to it. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the reading the book as much as listening to the audiobook. Great narration.
