Valerie's job has transferred her from LA to a small island in Alaska. She meets Fisher at the dock and wants to make him her fuck buddy. Seemed a little shallow to me, but who's to say. Anyway Fisher kind of thinks the same thing, then second guesses himself and third guesses himself, which is a running theme in this book. He says and does things that make him seem like he's interested in more from Valerie and then changes his mind. I don't know how Valerie stands it. Eventually there's a HEA but with the back and forth from Fisher, I wasn't as invested in it, sometimes thinking Valerie should just forget about him completely.
