THE DROWNING PEOPLE by RICHARD MASON

The Drowning People - Mason Richard

I listened to the book so there was no way to go back and figure out if he really had met Ella in the 1990s. So was this futuristic?

I figured out who did what pretty quickly but that didn't diminish the book at all. The beginning totally grabbed me and I loved the ending. I couldn't have forgiven [Ella so easily (although the author felt it wasn't easily) for what she did to Eric, making James tell him the kiss was a test - very, very cruel (hide spoiler)] but then again maybe I'm just a bitter old hag or a more caring person. Who can tell. Martin Jarvis did a great job with the narration even with the American accents which I find some British narrators have a hard time with - way too strong of an "R".
