Heart of Stone - C.E. Murphy I'm listening to the audiobook and also have the paperback.

Was it me? I just did not get the attraction to Alban. I have this strange fascination with gargoyles so you'd think that mysterious stranger plus gargoyle I'd be all over it. But he seemed to be begging Margrit for time, attention, to "help" him and then not accepting that help. And eating at the homeless shelter when he felt like eating? What's up with that?

Everything else about this book I loved though and I love how the author could create something so different than the Walker series. The Walker series has a huge amount of off-the-cuff sarcastic comments and prat fall type situations. This book was a darker, more romantic world. I really enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend this book. I just hope that Alban starts manning up by the next book.
