At first I thought I disliked these books because of the narrator, who reads these books in a very clear and precise voice. She also has a strange way of noting a young adult, high pitched nasal, which is irritating. But then once I could semi-ignore the narrator's voice, the book itself bored me to death. It seemed as if everyone had a long drawn out history lesson that just needed to be said. I was bored beyond belief. I have this whole series in audiobook, but I don't want to listen to the rest of them. If the narrator changes, maybe the books will get better, but I doubt it.
